As much as it pains me to say this (being a YusukexHiei fan and all), did you know that Togashi originally intended for Hiei and Kurama to be a couple? :) The reason he ended up leaving them as friends was because he was "afraid of setbacks caused in his previous works."
YES! I knew that. I almost died I found out about that. It basically makes it canon righ~ Buuut I can also appreciate Hiei with Yusuke, (I mean just look at their fights, their interactions.. mmm) or Mukuro (because that was laid on so thick you can hardly deny it, and now I wonder if they only introduced her to make Hiei seem less gay.. ahh) and maybe even Kuwa. (what) I dunno. YYH somehow just makes it easy to pair everyone with everyone. They just have these moments with eachother and it’s absolutely delicious.
/and thank you now I once again can’t stop thinking of how it would’ve been if Hiei and Kurama had really actually been a couple throughout the show… oh wow. That would’ve been so sexy. jkokljsdlkasj;lsa.
